Summer School

Today was J's first day of summer school and I think things are going to be fine. He seems to like it and loves the fact that he gets to have breakfast and lunch at school. He also gets to see some of his old friends from kindergarten and you know the social butterfly loves that. I think its going to be a great jump start for what next year is going to bring.

Camping

We took off to the Long Beach Peninsula for some camping this week-end and had a great time. We wound up going to a KOA that was right on the bay and really pretty.

Look at my cute babies. Look at em.

Oh my gosh she loves her dog.

And her daddy

We went to this great museum that had all these wagons and an old school house and dress up stuff. It was so much fun.

Just hitchin the jeans past my gut.

That right I got some PDA for ya.

Arrrrr me maties

Oh yes we had pizza

This was Emer's first taste of ice cream.

Happy Daddy's Day Honey. I LOVE YOU!

So for Father's Day Jeff and his dad and Grandma decided that they were going to take the big kids and go to the cabin up at Mount Hood. I had other obligations later that day, so I was not able to go. But it looks like they had a good time.

This picture cracks me up. From the look on his face he needed that extra cup for hot cocoa this morning.

Coming home on Saturday they stopped at the trout farm.

Jeff's Father's Day gifts.

The big kids painted them themselves.

OHH! YUI!

The thing you need to know before watching this is my cat's name is Yui. It sounds like Youey. And she looovvves that cat.

Daddy kisses and jumping on the bed.

Funny Boy

I was planting some crops on my farm town farm and Jackson was telling me all the things he has on his farm.
J - You know I have a farm.
Me - You Do?
J - Ya and I have all the same things you do. But I'm like a level 100.
Me - You are? You must work hard.
J - No, I bought a bunch of people to do all the work for me.
Me - So you have slaves?
J - NO, I don't have slaves! They live with me in my house and I take care of them.
Me - So are they your children?
J - No! They are just some childern that I bought to do all the work at my farm.

OOOKKKK!!!!

the girls

I have to start by saying thank you to my neighbor and friend Donna for asking me to help. It was not only a great break from my darling kids but a wonderful trip down memory lane.

OK, so I got to take the girls' gear, tents, food and whatever up to girls' camp for them and not just any girls' camp but the last location that I had attended as a teenager and it looks just the same to me.

This is Donna's daughter Jackie holding Emmers. She graduated early so she'll be going off to school next year and I think this will be her last year at girls' camp.
This is the Mess Hall. It didn't have walls when I was here as a camper but it looks just the same.

This is the grove where Natasha found some baby mice. But that's a whole other story.

Cumorah was my last camp site. Natasha and I were tent partners.

This was wating for the younger girls from SYL's. That's the 5th year girls.

And this is the 5th year girls practicing some songs.

Kids beds

So I think it was me... I whatever... that said last weekend that we should go and look at furniture for the kids. You know, instead of all the mismatched hand-me-down stuff. Not that we didn't appreciate it.
We went to one of those stores that have all the theme bedrooms and just about died when we saw the price of things. So we got back into the car and started down Cornell to my folk's house. Oh did I not say that the store was in Beverhell, it was. Anyway we were driving and saw a lady dancing with one of those going out of business signs. Sad for them but good for us.
For less then the price of just one bed at the other store Look what we got.

She calls is her princess bed.

And he likes his bed too. Now all I need to do is get over my fear of paint.

The last day of school

It was the J man's last day of school and we had been planning to have some friends over for a picnic, games and water balloon thing. And being Oregon we got rained out. So we moved the party to Chucky Cheez.
Can I just tell you that I HATE Chucky Cheez. It's just gross. Anyway, it was lots and lots of fun for the kids and that's what matters.
4 moms, 9 kids and 1 dad. That's right, even Jeff made the time to come and have a fun time with his kids. It wasn't so bad and I even had some fun. But next year if it rains we will just watch a movie at home or something like that.

The Field Trip

Jackson and his class had their last big field trip today. We sent him with a disposable camera and this is what we got back.
This is Jackson and his friends Mataya and Sarah.

This is my friend Misty Carter, she is the mom to Jackson friend Ashley.

Jackson's teacher Mrs. Felpz
Mrs. Mauler (Jackson's other teacher)

I did it!

As luck would have it I got the opportunity to go help in Jackson's class today. Well it was more like I forced myself on his teacher than volunteering.
Let me give you the run down... Jeff's dad was visiting and Jackson decided at 10:00pm that he needed to ask his papa if he could stay home and help with the girls so that mommy could go and help at school and Jack being the wonderful papa that he is he said that would be fine.
This morning I get up and go to school with Jackson and ask his teacher if I can stay and help because I have someone to watch kids and she lets me know that Friday would be better and I beg and Jackson cries and I got to stay and do some sorting.
I did get to go to recess and play with all the kids and that was a lot of fun.
