Saturday before the birthday party we took our little monsters to see Monsters V. Aliens in 3D.
I guess that it was good or at least that's what my kids said. Miss Emery was not in to it so we got to set in the hall for two hours.

Sick As A Dog!

I really don't know what is going on with me lately. I have had two colds in the last two months and each one has started with a day of vomiting. This time it was two days and the migraine is still just hanging on. It would be one thing if it were just me but both the big kids are a little stuffy and Jackson has an ear infection. I also can't help wonder if Emery is getting enough to eat. She has been more than angry with me the last two days.
I have got to get myself in to the doctor to figure out if there is something more than a cold here. And for any of you that think you going to be clever.....NO I NOT PREGNANT...... I'm just really really sick.

So you better believe that I'm going to be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD so that I will receive all my great blessings. Oh, and I'm Sorry I have to be the one to tell you, Chris, but they ran out of the invisibility. Maybe you'll get something cool like X-Ray vision instead.

Michael Is Home.

This was published in the Deseret News

Soldiers return home to hugs, tears

Published: Saturday, Feb. 28, 2009 6:09 p.m. MST
The band played Toby Keith's "American Solider," while reuniting families hugged and the wind blew snow across the tarmac Friday morning.

And she waited.

Soldiers passed her by, carrying roses and jumping into the arms of their wives. One after the other.

She stood motionless, a tear running down her face, her pink flowered dress blowing, and she waited.

Just when it looked like anxiety was going to overcome her, that somehow he wasn't getting off the plane, Camille Davies saw her husband, Michael, and the world became a different, wonderful place.

"I can't believe it," she said. "I'm over the moon I'm so happy."

The long year of deployment for 260 Utah National Guard soldiers and the long year of waiting for the families came to end early Friday morning when the men and women from the 142nd Military Intelligence Battalion returned home. They had been in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

While the war went on "over there," life continued over here for the families, with milestones of happenings both tragic and good.

Michael and Camille Davies' twins, who were 2 weeks old when he left, experienced a lot of snapshot moments of firsts that their daddy missed.

I am so happy for you and your Family.

Welcome Home!
