Whistler Day 5

Jackson had his first ski lesson today. We dropped him off at 8:45am and picked him up at 3:00pm. He is a natural and is confident that he needs no more lessons.

He would ski halfway down the hill, then watch until his teacher turned her back to help another kid, and then ski the rest of the way down. Once he even sneaked back onto the lift and rode back up to the top of the bunny hill and skied back down before she caught him.

It will be so nice next year when Ainsley can begin her lessons.

Whistler Day 2

Today was just a day of relaxation.  We did find out that Ainsley may have a promising career in housekeeping.  After disappearing for 5 minutes, I found her in the master bathroom dunking a washcloth in the toilet and then wiping down the seat, lid, and back.

After a quiet afternoon, we headed up to the fire and ice show at the base of Whistler Mountain.  If I have never shown you pictures from previous years, the fire and ice show is 8 skiers and boarders jumping through a ring of fire, followed by a fireworks show.  I will post photos as soon as I can figure out how to upload them.

Whistler Day 1

I had a long whining rant about how I go crazy the week before we go on vacation, running all over town trying to get everything done. For some reason everything that can go wrong will and does.

But know that I am done with the 8 hour drive and 4 hours worth of stops. I don't even know what had made me so crazy.

It's just so nice to be here in the snow away from Jeff's work and the humdrum of everyday life.

And by the way, Amy, we didn't even have one of our blow-out fights on the way here.
