95

That's how old My Grammy is today.

Thank you Grandma for always being so wonderful. Thank you for always having Campbell's soup for breakfast for me when I came to visit. Thank you for bringing life to our family history. Thank you for always being such a good sport and letting me doll you up at every party. I love you Granny. You're the best.

Pumpkins

I did this one John for Ron

And this one is for Jeff
Dear God,

As I carve my pumpking help me say this prayer:

Open my mind so I can learn about You (Cut the top of the pumpkin)

Take away all my sins and forgive me for the wrong things I do. (Clean out the inside)

Open my eyes so Your love I will see; (Cut the eyes out in heart shapes)

I'm so sorry for turning up my nose to all you've given me. (Cut a nose in the shape of a cross)

Open my ears so your word I will hear. (Cut the ears shaped like the Bible)-we did rectangles

Open my mouth so I can tell others You're near (Cut the mouth in the shape of a fish)

Let Your light shine in all I say and do! Amen. (Place a candle inside and light it)

I knew I was forgetting something

Happy Birthday Richard

Thank you for being one of the dirty little kids with me. Its always nice to know that your not the only one.

Thank you for being my buddy when we were little and walking all over town with me. I don't think any of my memories of down town Hillsboro would have been the same with out you.

Thank you for just letting me be one of the guys with you and the Hoffman boys when we were kids and the fun we had and countless times we technically trespassed and or broke in to the places that we did that to.

Thanks for not making fun of me the time I kicked over the mail box after the boys on the bus were picking on me.

Thank you for becoming best friends with the boys for Hilhigh . This way I always know what every one is doing and that they are all OK.

Thank you for letting me cry to you when Jeff's brother and I got in to that big fight. I know it can't be fun to have all us girls coming to you when we need a shoulder to cry on.

Thank you for Loving my kids as much as you do. You are the best and they love their Uncle Wichawrd.

Karate Kids

For months now I have been meaning to get Jackson in to some Ti Kwan Do classes. Just for some help with his discipline issues. It's not like he needs it for self defence, all he would need to do is talk someone to death and that would be that. I'll tell you that 5 minutes of the WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY and any abductor is dropping that kid on the next corner.
I drive past this Karate place all the time and decided to check it out and so we stopped on our way home from our lunch yesterday at the slough.
Jeff always says that sales people see me coming. I'm not sure what that's suppose to mean but by the end of our tour of the school I had Ainsley signed up too. It was awesome, they had their first class 1 hour later. They both did so well that they each got there first black stripe. Just two more and they can test for the next belt up.

Lunch Yesterday

First I have to say this is not me being a good mom. This is me being bored and not wanting the kids to be bored and destroy the house.
Yesterday I decided to take the kids out to the Basket Slough (and leave them for dead) NO NO NO for a picnic lunch. So after picking Jackson up from school we went straight out and would have had a wonderful time if it weren't for the yellow jackets. The nasty little buggers just did not want to give up and our picnic had to move to the truck. It was still a lovely lunch and we had no problems enjoying the birds.
Just a few of the thing we saw.
I think this is a nutria but it was as big as a beaver.

Three Egrets flew in while we were there. You need to see this one bigger.

That's what Eeyore love best

And of course all the geese.
