Be Our Guest

Yesterday we went to Hockinson days with the Bergs, the Komps and the Grandmas. My two oldest nieces were in the parade (as band members). Mackenzie was actually in the parade twice (once for band and once for her part in the play Beauty and the Beast).







Poor Mackenzie had to RUN by us half way through the parade to get back to her second group in time to get dressed and join them.

After all the Hockinson day stuff was over, we headed to the Bergs for a BBQ and to let the kids play in the sprinklers. Too bad we don't have pictures of naked Grant rocketing down the wet slide. Priceless. Makes me laugh every time I think about it.

After dinner was Mackenzie play. I can't even express how amazingly talented my beautiful niece is! As you can see from these pictures and the comments before, Mackenzie was Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast.

Mother's Day Weekend

Jeff's Grandma's birthday was Wednesday so we went to the coast overnight Friday and came home Saturday night so that we could be with her and it was just great as always.
Sunday morning I woke up to the sounds of someone in the kitchen downstairs and after a minute Jackson came up with breakfast for me. 'The sweet thing.' It was mushy Cherrios, but I think it was the most thoughtful Mother's Day gift ever.
After church, we had a brunch with Jeff's Mom, step dad, Brother, his girlfriend Kelly, and her daughter Kandle. That too was just great. We hardly ever get all of us at the same place at the same time.
Then we went straight to Hillsboro to have dinner with my Mom, Dad, Grandma, siblings and sibling's families. That's always a good time, kids running all over, Grandma saying now who are you five or six times, lots and lots of talking. Just good stuff, all of it.
So after all of that, I went home, got in bed and crashed. What a great weekend.
