Spring Break

Every year Jackson's spring break starts the Thursday before due to parent/teacher conferences.
I decided that I would go ahead and take the kids out to the coast on Thursday. After making this decision I started to dread it.
I hate going to the coast alone.
I can't sleep.
My kids get all needy when its just me.
And its just no fun by myself .

So I asked some of the girls to come out with me and bring their kids. There was 10 of us all together, 3 moms and 7 kids ranging from 7 years to 11 months.
The first thing we did after being in the car for 2 hours and getting settled in was walk down to the river and get some of the wiggles out.

This is Melody and her girls

just looking at a plane.

Kera and her little man
Then we headed off to the beach to enjoy the sun and the sand.

All the kids - J he was hiding over in the dune, silly boy

He is teething and all he wanted to do was bite his mom.

My baby can be so darn independent some times

Jackson was such a good sport with not having a boy his own age to play with.

I love it when they are playing nice

I know I don't say it enough. But doesn't she look just like an angel
After a great afternoon on the beach we had chili for diner and put them all to bed.
Once the kids were all sleeping the moms went out and sat in the hot tub, drank sparkling cider and listened to the coyotes.

We seriously don’t beat our kids

We must have looked like the parents of the year for about three to four weeks.
Emmrs took a header out of the hot tub and blacked her eye
Its not that bad now but it looked awful for about a week

And then Ains slipped in the bath.........You would think that all my kids would know better after what happened with J at the same age.

Then Emers whacked her face on a retaining wall. It looked way worse in person.
TThe same day that Ains walked into a hand rail and got the other eye.
I guess black eyes are better than broken bones.

MOM!

I Love You!
I am proud of you for being such a caring person.
For always putting the needs of others before yourself.
For doing the best you can with what you have to work with at the time.
For reaching out to others and into their hearts.
For loving unconditionally.
For your forgiving spirit.
For never giving up on any of us no mater what.
And with all this knowing your own needs and limitations.
You are an amazing role model.
And I am blessed to have you as My Mom.

Walking with the Dinosaurs

We got to go see walking with the Dinosaurs with some friends of ours and it was pretty cool
The raptors
Triceratops

Those dinosaurs were big and loud but that didn't scar Emery. She was having the best time.
I wish I had a better picture of the T-Rex. I think she was the most impressive

Off to feed the calves

Working hard.

The kids call this little barn cat Prince even tho She is a princess

Oh, the goats are all grown up now.

It looked just like they were saying good-bye.

Emmers and her kitty

This calf was just so pretty that I had to share. Look at the brown ears and nose I think she looks just like a bunny.
